FYC demitasse

demitasse is a Contemporary Classical Instrumental Piano Composition, that has both a traditional Classical sensibility and sound, blended with a contemporary, lyrical melody. And it has a little ‘kick’! This is an ode to the elixir that is consumed with joy around the globe. The overall flavour of this piece, is meant to bring a quick hit of energy and positivity. I spent some time at a lakeside cottage in the Haliburton Highlands Ontario Canada. This serene location, provided inspiration to compose quite a few tracks here, including demitasse. The Cover Art and Album Title were also inspired by this view. These compositions were an ode to my piano, the idea that our instruments are such an integral part of who we are, as Artists, they're like family. They have a front row seat to our life experiences, great and small. Whether it’s just really, really enjoying an espresso coffee or two, to confiding in the highs and lows of a summer love story.
