FYC That Summer

That Summer is an Instrumental Piano composition that was just released this past July & takes you through the different phases of a cherished summer romance, The piece starts slow, gentle, and lyrical, like the beginnings of a fresh new relationship. This leads into the frantic stage of intense feelings, where the music also intensifies in speed and dynamics. From here, the relationship explores possible commitment. The music is tentative, hopeful, but at the same time, there is the realization that this encounter, is probably just going to be a tender summer memory. There are gentle ambient layers throughout, including a distant, ethereal choir, and light synths. Producer Multi-Grammy Candidate 3kStatic.

‘That Summer’ was composed while I spent time at a little cottage by the lake, in the Haliburton Highlands of Ontario Canada. The tranquility of this location, was paramount in allowing me to freely compose. This view, was the inspiration for the Cover Art and Album title Me, You And The View. These compositions were an ode to my piano, the idea that our instruments are such an integral part of who we are, as Artists, they're like family, and have a front row seat to our life experiences, great and small. From the simple joys of taking in many cups of espresso on a sunny afternoon, to confiding in the highs and lows of a sweet summer romance.
